The Master
Sifu Angel Perez
My name is Sifu Angel Pérez. I am the Director, Teacher and Healer of the Shaolin Wahnam Institute Puerto Rico. I have practiced and taught martial arts for the last 30 years. I have successfully participated in many free sparring competitions locally and internationally, as a member and teacher of the Puerto Rico Kempo Karate Institute.
I was pointed as an authorized Teacher in 2010 by Grand Master Wong Kiew Kit, founder of the Shaolin Wahnam Institute of Shaolin Kungfu, Qigong, Taijiquan and Zen in Malaysia. I am the fifth generation direct successor of Venerable Jiang Nam of the Shaolin Monastery in QuanZhow in South China.
I have collaborated with the Hogar Niños de Nueva Esperanza, Inc in the community of Sábana Seca de Toa Baja, teaching Karate to the children of the program to help them develop discipline and self-esteem.
I have also collaborated with the San Agustín del Coquí Home together with its Centro de Acogida y Sostén Agustino in Aguas Buenas, helping to transform lives wounded by abuse in children from 6 to 12 years old, and their staff, through the practice of Shaolin Cosmos Qigong and Taijiquan. .
Since 2010 I do my best to preserve and transmit the authentic Shaolin Arts to deserving students, for health, vitality, longevity, maximum performance and spiritual joys, without distinction of race, culture and religion in Argentina and Puerto Rico.
